Not blog posts. Four questions I get asked often enough to be worth writing down once, carefully.
Every number on these pages has a source, a link and the date I read it. Where the honest answer is that nobody has measured something well, the article says that instead of reaching for a figure that sounds better.
That rule cost me things while writing. One widely-quoted statistic turned out to have no locatable source and was cut. A study everyone cites turned out to be behind a paywall, so the claim built on it went too. Those absences are on the pages, because a missing number is more useful to you than an invented one.
